And it has come to an end....

Well this class is almost over and all I can think is how much I wish this was a full semester long class. I have learned so much from the activities, assignments, and most of all listening to all the personal experiences everyone has shared. This class was awesome and I truly enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you so much to everyone who shared there personal experiences...you have made me a stronger person just by allowing me to read about conflicts you have overcome or been faced with. Good luck to everyone and thank you so much Professor!!

Project Completed

So Thursday evening my group got together through Ilinc to go over our final project. It just so happened that Ilinc was acting up so we decided to has Teresa email us the final project and we would make comments through email also if anything needed to be fixed. Friday everyone in the group emailed comments as to what they thought and we were all very pleased. That afternoon our project was submitted. I think my group was awesome! I had a great time working with the ladies and we all worked together very well. Thanks group and best of luck to everyone in the future!

As I begin week four, I am sad to see this class coming to an end. I have had a great time meeting with everyone in this class, and I have really enjoyed the assignments as well. My group has worked very hard together and we are meeting this Thursday to do a final walk-through on our project before submitting. I hope everyone else has enjoyed this class as well. Good Luck.

Week 3...almost over.

So week 3 is coming to an end. It is hard to believe that we only have a week left! I have met some great people and learned a lot so far about the whole "blogging world." I am excited to finish our group project and to see the final outcome. I hope everyone has been enjoying this class as much as me.

Group Project-Week 3

This week we worked as a group to decide that we wanted our final presentation to be in the power point format. We met tonight on Ilinc to discuss every ones' role in the presentation. I think we have a very productive group that is full of great ideas! We are going to communicate throughout the rest of the week the different scenarios we want to use, and then work together to finalize our power point. These girls are awesome! We should have a great project once it is all put together. We are meeting next week again to go over the final outcome and to discuss any last touches that may need to be added.

Phone Conversation Week 3

For the week 3 phone assignment I partnered up with Teresa. We called each other Wednesday evening to go over the assignment. For our scenario we had Teresa act as the employee and I was her boss. The situation we used related directly to a situation that Teresa had dealt with at her work not to long ago. She had been hired on as a consultant for a school district and worked as a consultant for a while before deciding she wanted to go to her boss about being hired on as an employee. Being promoted from a consultant to an employee of the school district meant she would be contracted in the union, receive benefits, security of the union, and a pay raise. Teresa knew that she needed to be hired on because she was performing the same tasks and duties as other people in the union and she deserved the great benefits that the union would offer her. Because of her ambitious and outgoing demeanor, not to mention all her hard work, her boss at the school district and I (being her boss for the assignment) decided that hiring her on to the school district was the right decision.
Teresa and I had a great conversation and we were able to discuss all different situations possible. Thanks Teresa for being a great partner!
